Laundry is truly never ending. I think I am finally accepting that it is never, completely done. Instead of fighting it, I am learning how to manage it. After our break of routine during spring break, I am getting back to it. I am sharing today our system that has been working for several months now, products we use and why it works for us. And also how the kids help out.
What is the definition of a break? It is different for everyone and based on who you talk to, it can vary. It also varies based on the environment, a workplace, at home, school, etc. For everyone though, a break is in essence a time away from some thing. The question is, what is that thing?
So it was my birthday week this past week. What a year! On my 30th birthday, I was still wondering if we would ever have kids. Mid-thirties, this blog was born and shortly after so was baby #3. And now late-ish (lol) thirties I am homeschooling, enjoying this blog (a little more consistently) and learning even more about myself through Jesus every day. This is how the journey started and what I would like to share with you here.
This is it. The post I’ve been avoiding for over a year now. The school discussion. Despite being confident we are doing what God has called us to do, I have not always felt 100% comfortable in sharing that we.......homeschool. Warning, long post ahead. It’s kinda like therapy for me. ;)
We are only two months in, but 2019 has come in with a bang for our family. Getting back into a routine has been difficult, but somehow, some way a meal plan was made on Sunday and so far it has been followed.....for the most part.
Do your kids trust you to feed them, clothe them and give them shelter? It certainly doesn’t seem as though they always trust us when we are trying to keep them from harm though. It can be quite frustrating. Thankful God is patient when my trust has not always been there. Even though I know it should.
Those Monday mornings when you wake up and just want to stay in bed.....that would be the start of this week. The crankiness, the exhaustion, the lack of motivation, and that was just from me - not even touching the kids’ attitudes. Enter faith, community and a whole lot of Jesus.
So how many different potty training sites, books, opinions can there possibly be on potty training?? They are everywhere. First of all, this is not one of them. This is a story about an unexpected potty training bonus to a new routine in an attempt to ease nap time.
Please check back often as I am adding or modifying pages as time permits.
Scripture/Quote of the Week:
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
