I will be honest, I am not very good at meal planning. Maybe that is why I despise it. The week always goes ten times better when I at least have a guideline though. I have searched and attempted to use countless meal planning printables and apps. We cook ahead food at one time for leftovers and so far, nothing has worked except for something I drew out on plain paper one Sunday night.

Why do we feel like everything has to be perfectly in place before we start a project? Or that we have to follow a specific set of guidelines to get meaning out of an activity? Maybe the lesson comes from the messiness and the journey.
Francis Chan is a great author and has several Bible studies and books available. One of the more compelling studies I have done is one of his on The Book of James. James has actually become one of my favorite books of the Bible, and partly due to this study.
The baby just got her first pair of glasses. Big sister picked out the color, lavender. They are super cute. But she is just under two so getting her to keep them on can be a fight - except not for daddy.
If you would have told me ten years ago that someone would refer to me as a crunchy mom, I would have called them crazy! What does that mean anyway?! Crunchy mom??
It's been awhile, but I am trying my hand at this blogging thing again. My story has not changed much, in that I am still on this journey of becoming the stay at home mom I "want" to be or what God would have me to be at least. We have the addition of baby number three, although at 22 months old, she isn't a tiny baby any more. She is cool, calm and collected until brother takes her toy and then it is on! She is sweet but spunky, and I love it!
Faith is something I believe we all have, it's just a matter of what you have faith IN. For me, I have faith in God and that He is in control of all things, despite what I may think at times. My faith has been tested and strengthened in so many ways over the last few years. Most recently, I am discovering a whole new level of faith.
It's hard to believe that my baby is 5 1/2 months ALREADY!! It has gone by so fast that I can barely remember these past few months, it's just blurry. I am trying to slow things down and take more time for "the little things". I do not believe in holding them back from milestones and if they are ready, then they are ready.

Scripture/Quote of the Week:
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
