Could it really be that removing dairy from my diet is reducing Little Man's spit up? I'm about to start day four of eliminating all dairy and so far there has been a significant reduction in spit up. It all started because Little Man gets extremely fussy during breastfeeding sessions, although it was inconsistent. He also had a large amount of spit up with every feed. Reflux, breastfeeding position, and dairy are all possibilities, but I'm not convinced it is reflux. After trial and error over and over again I believe his fussiness is more due to flow and positioning (this could be another post by itself!). But with the spit up significantly reduced after only one day of no dairy, I may be in for awhile of no cheese or butter. My husband has a dairy allergy so I would not be surprised if Little Man is sensitive to dairy. I will say I have been eating healthier so I think it will help me get back on track with my diet and nutrition. Two weeks is about how long it takes for dairy to leave the system so we will see.
