It seems like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) has every symptom/effect under the sun. Everything from irregular periods, infertility, cysts on the ovaries, acne, unwanted hair growth, thinning hair (where you do want it - on your head), elevated testosterone to the more serious issues effects such as, diabetes, high blood pressure, increased risk of heart disease and really the list seems to go on. Mondays are always long. Today was a little longer. No caffeine today. My husband and I made a pact, a wager, if you will, on who would crack this week. I'm determined to win and beat this accountability partner of mine.
Why am I so tired is really a silly question with three kids running around ages five and under. But it's a question we have to ask ourselves at some point when the fatigue gets too much.
September is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness month. This topic is very personal for me because I have PCOS. My hope is that awareness can continue past just this month.
We have just completed week of challenging each other, my husband and I, to only drinking water. We have both been trying to do better with our caffeinated and sugary beverage drinks, but we needed to amp it up a bit. Focusing on doing it together, being accountable to each other I think is what got us through. Although, we each have had two drinks, once on Wednesday and once this weekend.

Scripture/Quote of the Week:
