New Beginnings

It's been awhile, but I am trying my hand at this blogging thing again. My story has not changed much, in that I am still on this journey of becoming the stay at home mom I "want" to be or what God would have me to be at least. We have the addition of baby number three, although at 22 months old, she isn't a tiny baby any more. She is cool, calm and collected until brother takes her toy and then it is on! She is sweet but spunky, and I love it!

The oldest will start kindergarten this fall (momma is so not ready!!) and then brother is three and a half. The intensity of his emotions could possibly drive me to a full time job outside of the home. But I don't really want that to happen, so I'm trying this blogging thing again as an outlet, hoping to create awareness about issues that are near and dear to my heart and more importantly, be an encouragement to other mommas out there. Let's face it, parenting is HARD! But it's suppose to be right? Life isn't suppose to be easy or we wouldn't be growing. A lot has happened in this past year and I'm greatful for all the lessons I have learned, though not easy in the thick of it.

So with a season full of new beginnings, I thought I would get back into blogging. I am currently taking on the battle with the three year old and he has started a new speech program. We are working to stay on track with our finances - the Dave Ramsey way. We will enter the school-aged years soon. The baby needs glasses and potty training has somewhat started. My husband and I have started taking back control of our health. And the housework that is never-ending is slowly being reigned in from total chaos to somewhat manageable. Things certainly aren't perfect. I have come a long way, but also have many improvements to make. It's a journey!
